The continuous single shaft granulator is used for granulation of sludge (pre-mixed). The granulator consists of an enclosed housing with a rotating shaft with pins with hardened tips. The tip speed of the pins in combination with the distance in between the pins and distance of the pin tips to the housing makes the forming of the correct granules.
The rotation speed is controlled by a frequency convertor. Rotation speed and distance of the pins to the housing is to be determined and adjusted in practice at product start up. After the granulation the material is dried on a Tema Process Fluid Bed Dryer.
